On October 25th, Dr. Liang Zheng, Secretary General of the Low-Dimensional Materials Working Group of the National Standardization Commission and Secretary General of the International Standards Working Committee of the China International Graphene Resources Industry Alliance, was invited to visit the research group of Professor Xu Zhiping of Tsinghua University. In the early stage, Professor Xu Zhiping declared the national standard of "Determination of Tensile Properties of Small-Scale Nanostructured Films" to the Low-Dimensional Materials Working Group of the National Standardization Committee. Secretary-General Liang Zheng and Professor Xu Zhiping's research group discussed the pre-application of national standards. It is of great significance to compare the advantages and disadvantages of standards in the same technical field at home and abroad, and further standardize and improve the testing method of nano-assembled fibers.
Dr. Xu Zhiping received his bachelor's and doctoral degrees from Tsinghua University in 2002 and 2007. After that, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Rice University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2007-2008 and 2008-2010, respectively. Since 2010, he has worked at Tsinghua University He works in the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics and is currently a professor in the Department of Engineering Mechanics. Dr. Xu Zhiping mainly studies the mechanical problems in micro- and nanostructured materials and devices. Since 2005, he has published more than 100 papers in this field, which have been cited more than 4,000 times. Based on these works, he was awarded the National Natural Science Foundation of China in 2012. Excellent Funded by the Youth Fund, in 2015, he was selected as a young top talent in the Ten Thousand Talents Program of the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
