Display of the carbonization process of sycamore
China Jiangsu Net, May 25 (Reporter Wang Yinan) Do you believe that the sycamore can generate electricity? Do you believe the brain can control electrical switches? Do you believe in electric horses? All of this is not a fantasy. With the practice of college students, these have become a reality. On the morning of May 25th, the first Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Achievement Exhibition was held on the campus of Nanyou University, attracting people from all walks of life to visit the exhibition.
A total of 224 works and project achievements were displayed in this exhibition, including 138 physical works, mainly including the outstanding works of the national, provincial and school-level innovation and entrepreneurship training programs for college students that have been accepted and accepted in recent years, as well as excellent works that have won awards in subject competitions work.
Among the more than 100 kinds of works on display, there is one work that has attracted the interest of many visitors: the application of turning waste into treasure and transforming it into electrodes and supercapacitors. "We first collected raw materials such as poplar and sycamore, and then carbonized them at high temperature to enhance their properties. After activation, we applied them to the fields of supercapacitors and nano-electrodes that we are familiar with," said Kang Qi, a research student in the project. "We have a total of six One student participated in this research, and the current project still has many drawbacks, such as the relatively low yield, we will continue to dig deeper into its connotations and continue the research.”
The project won the first prize in the National Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Competition, and signed a contract with Shanghai Juna Technology Co., Ltd. today. The company will provide funds, venues, technical equipment and other support, and hopes to cooperate with these six students in depth. "Supercapacitors are widely used now, such as automobiles, mobile power supplies and other electronic equipment, and the development prospects are very optimistic. The invention of several students from Nanyou greatly reduces costs, turns waste into treasure, and is a good application for energy conservation and emission reduction. We We will provide support in all aspects and hope to continue to cooperate with students and schools." said Liang Zheng, vice president of Juna.
At the event site, the reporter also saw many new applications in technology, such as: the multi-functional bionic riding fitness office chair can exercise the waist while working; the brain-computer interface and EEG signal processing technology can enable us to use our hands without using our hands. Manipulating electrical appliances can control the light switch, the speed of the fan, etc. Xu Xin, the instructor of the project, hopes that this application of the brain can further help epilepsy patients recover quickly. This project is an international-level entrepreneurial training and practice plan project. Strong support from all parties.
It is reported that this competition also invited 16 outstanding works from Nanjing University, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Hohai University and Nanjing Normal University to participate in the exhibition.
