The Inner Mongolia Graphene Materials Research Institute was officially established a few days ago. This is the first comprehensive research institution and technology development center related to graphene materials in my country. It is mainly engaged in the research and development of new varieties, new processes, new equipment and new technologies of graphene materials, formulation of product standards, and quality supervision and testing.

It is understood that Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is the main storage area of crystalline graphite ore in China and one of the main production areas of flake graphite. It is also one of the three major graphite ore production bases in China. The establishment of the research institute will help Inner Mongolia seize the commanding heights of the development and utilization of graphite strategic resources, and provide scientific and technological support for the transformation and upgrading of local energy.
