On August 31, Zhang Ni, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, and his party came to Taizhou to investigate the work of the Overseas Chinese Federation in our city. Zhuang Zhaolin, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, met with Zhang Ni and his party. In the afternoon, Zhang Ni and his entourage held a symposium at the home of overseas Chinese in Taizhou, which is located in Daohe Ancient District. They listened to the work report of the Overseas Chinese Federation in our city, and held discussions with officials, businessmen, and relatives of the Overseas Chinese Federation to seek their opinions and suggestions on the work of the Overseas Chinese Federation. Gu Yongbo, chairman of the Overseas Chinese Federation of Taizhou City, director of the Hong Kong, Macao Overseas Chinese and Taiwan Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and other leaders of the overseas Chinese federations in various urban areas, representatives of overseas Chinese businessmen and overseas Chinese family members attended the symposium.

Ding Rong, chairman of Juna Group and executive vice-chairman of the Municipal Overseas Chinese Chamber of Commerce, attended the meeting and had a discussion. Ding Rong introduced the basic situation and work content of the third session of the Overseas Chinese Chamber of Commerce, and put forward some suggestions.

She said that I am no stranger to Taizhou. A few years ago, I had a temporary post in China Medical City, and I have a lot of affection for Taizhou. Today, I visited the Mono Collection Museum, the Taizhou Scientific Development View Exhibition Hall, and the home of overseas Chinese in Taizhou, which was shocking. Taizhou Overseas Chinese Home is built in the quaint Daohe neighborhood, with a beautiful environment and unique, traditional ancient buildings, with modern style layout, such a home for overseas Chinese is one of the best in the All-China Federation of Overseas Chinese. This shows that the Taizhou Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government attach great importance to the work of the Overseas Chinese Federation.

Zhang Ni asked the Federation of Overseas Chinese to first strengthen basic work, build organizations, strengthen teams, dig resources, find out the situation of overseas Chinese, and tell the stories of overseas Chinese. The second is to do a good job of transformation and development, serve social and economic development, highlight work priorities and expand innovative work according to changes in overseas Chinese conditions. The third is to give full play to the role of the Internet and do a good job of the Overseas Chinese Federation. Regarding the suggestions made by everyone, Zhang Ni said that the Provincial Overseas Chinese Federation will conduct special research, and in the future will strengthen the service for the grassroots Overseas Chinese Federation, and strengthen the linkage between the provincial and municipal Overseas Chinese Federation to carry out activities.
