On December 27, 2019, the inaugural meeting and the 2019 annual meeting of the National Micro-Bubble Technology Standardization Technical Committee (hereinafter referred to as the "Standard Committee"), which was applied for and prepared by the Institute of Process Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was held in Beijing.

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) established the Microbubble Technical Committee (TC281) in 2013, and the Secretariat is located in Japan. In 2017, the Institute of Process Engineering applied to the National Standardization Administration to prepare for the establishment of the Standardization Committee. The established standard committee will be responsible for the formulation and revision of national standards in the field of micro-bubble technology (covering terms and general principles, including but not limited to the characterization and application of micro-bubbles in liquid media, with special attention to artificially-manufactured micro-bubbles with a size less than 100 microns). Corresponds to the ISO/TC281 work area.

The meeting reviewed and approved the draft of the constitution of the bidding committee and the working rules of the secretariat, as well as the proposal for the establishment of four national recommended standards related to microbubble technology, introduced the work situation and annual work plan of ISO/TC281, the management method of the bidding committee and the application of the standardization business platform , and issued letters of appointment to members. Experts and scholars from the Evaluation Center of the National Standards Commission and the Institute of Process Engineering respectively gave standardized knowledge training and a report titled "Application of Microbubble Technology in Process Industry".

More than 40 people from the National Standardization Administration, the Condition Guarantee and Finance Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Institute of Process Engineering attended the meeting.
