Information

Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation (National Standardization Administration) issued the National Standard Announcement No. 7 in 2021, approving the release of 386 recommended national standards and 3 national standard revision lists, including two graphene-related standards: The national standard GB/T 40071-2021 "Layer Measurement Optical Contrast Method of Graphene Related Two-dimensional Materials in Nanotechnology", drafted by Juna New Energy Co., Ltd., and the national standard GB/T drafted by the Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences 40069-2021 "Layer Measurement Raman Spectroscopy of Graphene Related 2D Materials in Nanotechnology".

The above two standards belong to the first batch of national standard plan projects in the field of graphene in my country, and will be officially implemented on December 1, 2021.

Graphene-related two-dimensional materials are carbon-based two-dimensional materials with no more than 10 layers, including graphene, double-layer graphene, few-layer graphene, graphene oxide, etc., with excellent electrical, optical, mechanical, thermal, etc. performance, has aroused extensive research interest in academia and industry. The number of layers of graphene-related 2D materials is a key parameter affecting their performance. Accurately measuring the number of layers of graphene-related 2D materials is of great significance for material research, development, and applications. Optical contrast method and Raman spectroscopy are widely used to measure the number of layers of graphene-related two-dimensional materials such as graphene, double-layer graphene, and few-layer graphene due to their advantages of rapidity, non-destructiveness and high sensitivity.

"Nanotechnology - Layer Measurement of Graphene Related Two-dimensional Materials - Optical Contrast Method" was drafted by Taizhou Juna New Energy Co., Ltd., Southeast University, Taizhou Graphene Research and Detection Platform Co., Ltd. and other units. When using the optical contrast method to measure the number of layers of graphene-related two-dimensional materials, the measurement results will be affected by various factors such as the thickness of the silicon dioxide (SiO2) layer on the surface of the silicon (Si) substrate, the numerical aperture of the microscope objective, and the data processing method. Effects of test conditions. In order to improve the reliability and consistency of the measurement results of the number of layers, this standard specifies the steps, instrument parameter requirements, data analysis, Criteria for determining the number of layers.

"Nanotechnology - Layer Measurement of Graphene Related Two-dimensional Materials - Raman Spectroscopy" was drafted under the leadership of the Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beterui New Materials Group Co., Ltd., Hebei University, Southeast University and other units. This standard specifies the sample preparation, instrument parameter requirements, characterization steps, chromatographic analysis and result representation when measuring the number of layers of graphene-related two-dimensional materials by Raman spectroscopy, and lists some measurements based on the methods specified in this standard. Examples of graphene flake samples.
The above standard is an important standard for measuring the number of layers of graphene-related two-dimensional materials. It will provide two fast, non-destructive and high-sensitivity measurement methods for the production, application, inspection, circulation, scientific research and other fields of graphene-related two-dimensional materials. , play a positive role in promoting the healthy development of graphene-related industries.

Technological innovation is changing with each passing day. Only by becoming a setter of advanced standards can we enhance the core competitiveness of the industry in the fierce global competition and seize the commanding heights of the development of strategic emerging industries. It is worth mentioning that Taizhou Juna New Energy Co., Ltd., one of the leading drafters of this standard, took the lead in formulating my country's first graphene national standard GB/T 30544.13-2018 "Nanotechnology Terminology Part 13: Graphene and Related 2D Materials", which has been implemented since November 2019.

Established in 2010, Taizhou Juna New Energy Co., Ltd. is one of the earliest companies engaged in graphene research, testing, application and standardization in China. Up to now, the company has been approved for 2 international standards, 4 national standard projects (2 released), 2 Jiangsu local standards, and 7 alliance standard projects (3 released); the first batch of graphene to be released in the country 19 enterprise standards in the field of detection technology. In 2013, the first National Graphene Standardization Forum was organized. In December 2016, with the approval of the National Standards Committee and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, it assumed the secretariat of the National Nanotechnology Standardization Technical Committee Low-Dimensional Nanostructure and Properties Working Group (No. SAC/TC279/WG9), responsible for coordinating and organizing the national low-dimensional nanomaterials standardization work. In 2017, it was rated as an advanced collective of standardization in Taizhou. In 2018, it won the first Taizhou Standard Innovation Award. In 2020, it was rated as a demonstration enterprise of patent standard integration innovation in Taizhou City. In the same year, it was approved to assume the secretariat of the Micro-bubble Technology Application Working Group (No. SAC/TC584/WG3) of the National Micro-bubble Technology Standardization Technical Committee. Since 2013, a number of national standardization activities have been held, creating a well-known LDMAS international conference brand in the industry, and forming a huge influence in the country and even internationally.
